As far as I can tell, there does not exist a straightforward way to (a) register to sit the GRE as a non-US candidate and (b) register to sit the GRE with disability-related accommodations. As in, the instructions for (a) and (b) are mutually contradictory.

I mean, I can see why they'd think nobody who's (i) not a US citizen and (ii) disabled would want to go to grad school in the States -- but seriously?

(I will be phoning them tomorrow.)

It is definitely possible to sit the LSAT in the UK with accommodations - I've seen it done! Hopefully the GRE is analogous - good luck with it.

Ugh, much sympathy. I remember registering as US citizen with disability being a pain in the butt, so I'm sure it's extra difficult for you. Good luck!

There's an obvious reason for that: the US has the Americans with Disabilities Act, while in other countries they aren't legally required to provide accommodations.

Maybe they don't know that? Companies that have monopolies aren't known for their diligence (especially American companies).

Anyway, sucks that they haven't sorted this all out already, thus making your life more complicated due to their laziness.

Sigh. I hope you can sort it out. I would have thought that they'd be set up to do this in UK/other main test centres in Europe, though maybe they're just assuming that the insurance situation would be such that non-US people with disabilities would decide to go elsewhere...
Either that or the people writing the instructions are incompetent.
