I've just phoned them up: they're not sure what to do with the "male/female" question, are escalating, will get back to me, and were enormously polite, friendly and helpful.

What can binary gendered people do that's useful re that question? I'd like to see the census collecting accurate data, even though this doesn't directly impact on me.

Hmm. Possibly write to them? In any case being Maybe Attending in the fb group is awesome because it means that people who *are* attending aren't automatically marked out as GREAT BIG QUEERS :-)
