good things

(a) I thought I wasn't going to get to swap poetry and music with a friendperson currently on a flying visit to town, and I did, and I have missed him SO MUCH, and we did have lunch today also but having lunch with him in a cafe in public is just not the same
(b) we shared a small quantity of very nice alcohol
(c) while consoling myself over the thought that he WASN'T GOING TO EXIST ;________; I, er, bought a very nice 1922-1923 ebonised-mahogany walking stick with silver hallmarked pommel from the Oxfam online shop (I have been coveting it for weeks, but also highfantastical you are a FILTHY ENABLER even if you weren't aware of enabling that precise thing)
(d) said friendperson is probably coming for lunch tomorrow on his way out of town and I'll get to feed him cheese
(e) ... he has apparently bought me cufflinks, you guys. I just. I can't even.

I. Just. A wonderful, wonderful end to a day that started off pretty grimly - so while these aren't strictly ten good things, I'll take what I can get right now. (Here are some other things that were good: showing my rocks to people. Eating piles of tasty food. Making it to the GP on time. Coping with mobility issues. Drooling some more over the Nebra Sky Disc.)
