Really, really good. Rich in the completeness of the world galaxy-building. So many bits where I want to know more.

I wasn't expecting the pronoun thing to be so damn refreshing, like there was something in me that would have been slightly tensed that instead could relax without need for bracing.

'Adore' is not a strong enough word for the visceral yes yes yes of how deeply the integration of AI and ancillary / segment and human into Ship and Station and such is explored and unfolding. Also, yesssssssssss to colonial empire's enemy being itself, or rather Anaander Mianaai's splintering selfhood. (The amount of identity exploration in this is just staggering good).

And and and

(I will have more words at some point, but I should get up and go run and get this oppressive pile of overdue things done now, and come back to it another time).

Suffice to say, these will bear rereading, and I love them so so much already.
