- applied bicarbonate of soda to the problem of my nice enamel pan with burnt bits on which WORKS
- dealt with green waste (three days early!)
e-mailed counsellor to confirm details for this week's session
cast on next knitting project (had been being a bit fretful about not having things to occupy my hands)
read free excerpt of Tiptree winner The Girl in the Road and loathed it (terrible prose, terrible racism, terrible gratuitous cissexism that clearly thinks it's being enlightened about trans folk but is actually just really disgustingly focussed on genitalia, terrible heteronormativity, etc etc etc)
got to a stage of Redemption in Indigo at which it stopped annoying the shit out of me (hurrah!)
sorted out two sets of online shop
watched The Lost Thing, which is actually just the perfectest
tiny bit of sideways work???
looked at lots of art
poked at Hugos post to add another couple of bits and bobs
put away laundry
get ebooks various onto ereader (1 2 3)
make bread
add two more tasks to the regular task reminder

Date: 2015-04-08 03:43 pm (UTC)In addition to the points raised, I perceived this bias: "I am a real writer and I will now write SF but it will be good enough not to be SF" (so I won't even put SF in the catalog notes). Although the Big Idea was cool. The Tiptree is the least consistent award ever. Their charge is very general, they recreate their process each year.
