[poem] Gosling

My place in the order of things
is, or so it sometimes seems,
at the back of the second sock drawer
with the dust and dead insects and dressmaker's pins:
an awkward spiky half-forgotten oddment.

I relate to this SO MUCH. The imagery is so sharply evocative that the feeling behind it really sits in the foreground. I like that.
