I appreciate the previous migraine having pissed off the day before we travelled down, and the current migraine not showing up until the day after we got back, but also this is looking like it's going to be another six-day migraine (with maybe 12 hours of reprieve in the middle there) and I had to cancel today's medical appointment that I had attempted to schedule for Not A Week That's High-Risk For Migraines, so.

I have also, today, received a letter informing me that if I don't get my act together within 28 days I will be evicted from the allotment site. I have written back explaining that I'm waiting on a neurology referral to actually come through, and asking if I can have some more time.

If that doesn't work I can fall back on "no, look, a bunch more of it is actually genuinely in cultivation than you appear to be taking into account", but on the whole I would rather not. So.

(0 effect: 45mg amitriptyline + 80mg propanolol daily, + frovatriptan. analgesia still gets me to a point where I'm not Actively Hurting but nevertheless incapable of complex thought, and I still can't take enough of it without risking neurology dismissing me out-of-hand as Probably Medication Overuse Headache. this is still a terrible hobby.)

That's a bit harsh from the allotment soc - it's freaking Novmeber!

At our site we finish our last round of inspections in September and don't start hassling people again until the end of March (and then only if they've not started doing anything at all on their plots). Then again about 50% of our site don't do any gardening from November until March - we've got a chunk of fair weather gardeners rather than year round ones. *G*

Also hope you find meds which bring relief soon. My migraines are fortunately seasonal, associated with sudden barometric pressure shifts and rarely last for more than 24 hours. I cannot imagine having one for six days. *shudder*

That sounds harsh from the allotment people!

I'm willing to get myself up there (probably via train, wearing a respirator mask with P100 filters) and spend a day helping out on the allotment, if extra hands would be useful. I appreciate that scheduling may be difficult, given healthcrap.

wtf? The allotment people do understand the whole idea of leaving things fallow for a season, right? Even if you weren't dealing with this migraine bullshit, it seems a bit harsh to evict people in November for not taking proper care of their allotment.

Embodiment, especially with this migraine stuff, is a pretty bad hobby. We hope that you can get to the point where you get effective means of stopping or preventing them.

Also, if your November is anything like mine, an allotment saying "you must do something we consider visible progress" during a month where the rain flies sideways and soaks everything indiscriminately is the kind of thing that gets people cursed at, in length and volume, for asinine behavior.

♥ I am glad you didn't have migraine on the trip, I was wondering!

Re: allotment site, ughghhh. Best of luck dealing with them.
