I got a text on Sunday afternoon informing me that vaccinations were now available to the 30+ cohort in my area, and promptly copied the URL over into a browser to book. Following a brief faff about which would be the least inconvenient location and time for A to chauffeur, I wound up with a slot for this morning.

And I have now had my first vaccine! The Pfizer; a slightly sore arm, and a few hours of chills that were worse than my normal thermoregulation issues, but otherwise so far so good, and what a relief it is to have got started with this.

(For bonus points, the GP surgery running the clinic that I attended did a surprisingly good job of spotting I was using a walking stick and had promptly sat myself down on the wall, checking I was booked in, and then making arrangements for me to sit on actual chairs and getting me through the whole thing as quickly as possible, which is honestly a lot better than I was expecting given the sheer volume of Queue when we rocked up.)

So.
