I've been fascinated by the Antikythera Mechanism and its analysis for a long time. The video is stunning.

I finally clicked through to the documentary and it's very neat, thank you very much.

But also I'm a bit puzzled because you call it a twelve-minute documentary but the one I found at the link was just shy of 30 minutes.

... huh. Definitely said it was 12 minutes when I was there last, but have not yet got around to looking at it myself -- I will (a) look forward to it, but also (b) schedule slightly longer than I was anticipating!
