[healthwork] oh thank goodness

I have agreement-in-principle to refer to an endocrinologist who will actually talk over all my symptoms with me, and also to keep taking a sensible dose of thyroxine in the meantime. More bloods in six weeks once I'm on a stable dose, then go back to GP, then get referral.
GP was Good about me having brought in a printout of a checklist, i.e., was very "this is super helpful, is it okay if I keep it", which means I'm kicking myself a little for not having done that any sooner (I gave a list of all the symptoms verbally! ... apparently printouts help), and was not all "well the endocrinologist you saw for T looked at your numbers and said there isn't a problem so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, guess you'd best just drop your thyroxine dose like he said". And, like, I think would have been completely fine even if I hadn't explicitly pointed out that I'd not really discussed my symptom profile in detail with said endocrinologist.
AND I can indeed be referred to UCLH trivially and without complaint, which is A Bonus because (1) they have been very good to me and indeed my baby brother in all other respects, and (2) I know How To Get To It and also My Way Around, unlike Barnet.
Which is today's "keep on keeping on" news, and I am v v grateful to A for coming to the GP with me to (literally) hold my hand through A Panic.
