Jesus & His Judgmental Father: "They basically just sound like the Ten Things I Hate About You soundtrack, except way more queer. Which is a good thing." The title track of their album, Kings & Queens, is explicitly about trans people, and is harrowing (no, seriously, TRIGGER WARNINGS on the subsequent verses), and it starts like this: in the land outside this social scene/the streets are filled with the gender police/I guess the streets are no place for kings and queens/no the streets are no place for kings and queens
