I know someone who programmed a Raspberry Pi to open his polytunnel doors. IRMFI.
I looked vaguely into polytunnels last year and discovered you had to affix them very firmly into the ground to stop them blowing away, to a degree which is incompatible with a rented garden.
You can get little patio greenhouses for starting seeds early in, though not for passionfruit.
