Every day of my life is a transformative work: an essay about my relationship with my body, and how coming to terms with being trans* and coming to terms with being disabled have changed it - and about the parallels I feel between those experiences.
It is also navel-gazey as all get-out ;)

Date: 2012-10-14 03:28 pm (UTC)A lot of the external factors suck (stupid stairs); but even in a world without external suck you still have the internal changes going on. It's clearly unreasonable to expect people to conform to some ideal notion of whatever-it-is-they-are, although better than expecting all people to conform to the same thing it's really not all the way there yet.

Date: 2012-10-13 10:59 pm (UTC)I am genuinely overwhelmed by how much people seem to be getting out of it? Like, I think about it and come over all self-critical, so it is AMAZING to have so much positive feedback on it. <3
And maybe my next essay will be more geared towards *actually having a discussion*, because I am very open to having conversations on those topics (I think there is a ~lot more~ I could think about in this area and talking to people about it would be AWESOME?)
