But seriously if I DO ever have a boy, EVERYONE will absolutely be getting the "if you tell my child anything that remotely smacks of 'big boys don't cry' etc I will actually eat your liver, I swear to fucking god" note. It may include actual useful ways to help a child learn to self-soothe! But try and shame the mechanism out and I will roast your vital organs on a slow fire. *growl*

Yeah, Andrew always tells me this when I am crying and upset about crying/feel I shouldn't be (like that helps, I know). It does help with the frustration I feel at it; I hate crying.
