It's worth noting that a lot of antifa work pretty hard to minimise collateral damage. Most of the bigger-picture liberal arguments against implicitly assume that fascists need violent resistance in order to tear down the fabric of society: that "it's going to happen anyway" can't be true.

But hey, that broken window in Berkeley was drastically more important than all the other windows broken that day, right?...

(I think the concept has some value, but loses it the moment we think we can observe neutrally or stop trying to find what's missing)
