hang on what. aquaponics is water. how is that not organic?

I mean, I can see that if it was water with added petrochem it would stop being organic, but presumably it already isn't.

Apparently it is already doing better than the rival petition (that sparked it) to require soil as part of organic certification!

It appears to be the case that people are trying to insist that plants not grown in soil aren't really ORGANIC. Which, um, sounds a lot like disliking rivals in the sector.
