Specifically: I am apparently, without having thought about it at all, unshakeably convinced that the PoV character is trans. (I know it is Problematic to have developed this unshakeable headcanon in the context of "he's tiny and gay and a brilliant figure-skater and a brilliant baker and is terrified of being checked" but you know what it's showed up, it's clearly not going away, I legit have significant cognitive dissonance every time fic is all Dude's Cis Tho because, um, what.)

Date: 2016-04-08 06:22 pm (UTC)But I love that comic not only as a queer girl who loves hockey, but also watching the main characters work hard at these non-horrible realizations of masculinity.
That Bitty was a hella forward, cis, gay, and wonderfully femme (20-something Emma would had loved to just sit companionably with him while he baked, studied, or v-bloged) was something I liked too.
Augh! Feels.
