Content note for consent issues, and what's going on in UK politics at the moment. You will note from the part where I've disabled comments that I don't really want to talk about this further.
I fundamentally do not believe that consent in the context of large-group hazing rituals can be anything other than coerced. I also seriously doubt that Cameron was, at the point at which he took those actions, sufficiently non-impaired in terms of alcohol etc that he would have been able to meaningfully consent even outside the context of hazing rituals.
And then he was blackmailed with it.
And then the national conversation did that over attempts to backmail him with an incident that had at best dubious consent in the first place.
Gods know I think the man wants me dead, but if you have had me go "no, I don't want to be present for conversations about this topic", this is why but I've only managed to actually articulate it in the last day or so.
