Today I have not felt like leaving the house yet and therefore have not been into work yet. However, I have...
showered
brushed hair + teeth
had two meals + meds
clothes!
put away dry washing-up
put away laundry
helped with a door-to-door survey
done a month's worth of accounts
caught up with e-mail, incl replied to necessary work e-mails
wrote up counselling session
phoned CHX and confirmed that they have my referral (but won't be sending out any first appointment letters til they've worked through their backlog, augh)
e-mailed GP about that and also about the drugs I need them to prescribe for me
phoned up this one company and was all "the thing broke ;_;" and they are going to fix it for me
proofread thing for awesome ex-housemate C
as of 4.30pm, made it into work
picked up parcel from parcel room
picked up otherpost from pigeonhole (it is the "you need to pay customs" on my most recent acquisition from [livejournal.com profile] elisem: obvious Alex-bait is obvious)
sat myself down at work computer, turned it on, and got myself in a position to type up proof-reading of C's thing
signed up account for remote-hosted house wiki
sent a prod re VP.com
transcribed comments on C's draft
sent another scary e-mail about That Damn Paper
useful conversation about the Thing with the Partner
first pass of saving docs in different format for TDP (old supervisor apparently cannot install OOo or equivalent???)
brought speakers home from work
picked up meds
good affirming friendly chat with Partner (not about Thing)
did some washing-up
read D's thing, provided comments
read H's thing, provided comments (& subsequent discussion)
had a search for extra data I really wanted to exist for second pass; it doesn't, any more; planned how to deal with this (it involves WEEPING. tomorrow.)

This is a lot of stuff done!

If you like a daily list/reminder/pat on the back type thing, have you seen idonethis.com ? It's a daily email that you reply to with a list of what you did, and it keeps your lists for you (and randomly sends you "this is what you did yesterday/last week/six months ago" as part of your daily email).

Sometimes it helps me to remember that I did things, that even if today is awful, yesterday wasn't so bad and tomorrow might be easier too. (Today's list: Packed leftover deli soup for work-lunch. Did a load of laundry. Not my best day, but not so bad.)

Totally! I got in the habit of making ta da lists back in the day when I felt like I was getting nothing done with two little kids in the house. It made a huge difference in my perception of how I was doing and getting feedback from other people (who weren't my husband) was enormously helpful as well. It was/is hard for him to see all the things I've managed to accomplish in a day (much easier to see the things left undone). I think that's true for ourselves too. We tend to focus on what we didn't get to and judge our day/selves by that. Celebrate your achievements!

What a gorgeous necklace! I can see why you snapped it up.

Also, good work on getting through all this stuff! If it were me, I would say it was a pretty productive day. And thank you for sharing it--I do like to take a peek at what other people have been up to (perhaps I should post a list myself sometime...)
