Ancillary Sword, Ann Leckie. Comfort rereads in full swing, why do you ask.
(I am torn between inhaling the new Murderbot the moment it comes out, and saving it for after submission...)
Writing. ~2.5k more words of chapter 5 (not including figure captions...), which is now back with my supervisors, subsequent to which I have gritted my teeth and ploughed most of the way through pulling together the PDF of the GCA paper I'm being nudged about. (I had intended to leave it til the week after this one coming, but then decided to see how far I could get through it before sending the e-mail saying "hahaha not yet", and now all -- "all" -- I gotta do is check it compiles and contains the correct figures, so...)

Exploring. A friend's allotment! On a glorious cloudless day! OUTDOORS. Promptly filled with enthusiasm for my own allotment, which I have equally promptly... not gone to! because I'm drowning in thesis! but soon.
Observing. IN ADDITION TO the bats and the squirrel and the fox and the robin and the coaltits: a peacock butterfly! At aforementioned allotment. Peacocks are, for Reasons, my favourite, so I was and indeed am proper delighted.
