Yesss. Above I said something about how I feel it's a lot like practising an instrument - you hone the skills, & eventually music happens, or any other form of Making Something New. (And in that everything old is new again, I do think playing other people's music can itself be - is! - creative: because of the transformative and interpretative aspects, and so on. Rather like translation, in fact...)
