I - don't quite trust that it's real, still, because so much of my childhood & home life were Serious Trauma, and - I have missed out of this post how much of my teens involved regular screaming matches with my mother about, among other things, LGBT+ rights (including some awful stuff that involved her saying I'd be better off dead, without knowing that she was saying it about me). It took us a long fucking time to get here, but I am so grateful.
