This morning's achievements: working out the colour situations! Spending some more time learning about GIMP's Cage tool!

... deciding to redo the whole thing from scratch stitch-by-pixel!

Thus far I have done: most of the top left quadrant? [Feat.: a person looking out of a window, framed by long maroon-to-mauve curtains.]

I have also Rediscovered some of the reasons I am Really Not A Fan of this style of needlework tapestry, including "two theoretically identical completed works will quite happily disagree to the tune of at least 5% in any and all directions, and they won't even be consistent about which", but -- progress! Even though I am winding up making More Aesthetic Decisions than I had quite anticipated!

(The other crafting of the day was: knitting to the end of the ball of yarn for glove #1, thereby learning more things about How The Flap Works and also coming to a Conclusion about what I want to experiment with doing instead once I've frogged back to my lifeline. I am not ruling out the possibility of then Redoing From Start, depending on how bad the Yarn Chicken gets, because I really don't actually for these purposes need the cuff to come halfway up my forearm..
