Sympathy, we've got a variation of this with my mother, who is supposed to keep a specific injection handy in case of emergency. Do they give the 85yo who'll only ever need to use it in a crisis when she's likely to be badly brain-fogged an autoinjector? No, she's got syringes, needles, a vial of saline and another of powder. Consultant: Get the nurse at your GP's surgery to teach you how to use it, they'll know all about it. Nurse practitioners: What the hell is this? We've never heard of anything like this? Look, if you ever need to do it, bring her down here and we'll do it.
