Feeds:
What are your favourites?
-
cookability - recipes given with detailed information about how much bending, standing, lifting and chopping is required; about how to adapt recipes to make them more accessible.
-
fucking_bodies,
fucking_docs and
fucking_meds - do what they say on the tin. Complaints and questions and letters, and general support and advice. They're great.
-
nuggan - a collection of things that are An Abomination Unto Nuggan.
-
poetree and
poetry for all your poetry-related needs. Esp. fond because Derek Walcott's Love After Love got posted yesterday.
-
transcripts, for requesting and offering transcripts of media that only comes with an audio track.
-
white_lotus, for all your fannish Avatar requirements.
Feeds:
-
bas_iotd_feed and
bas_potd_feed: images of the day! and penguins of the day! from the British Antarctic Survey! These ALWAYS cheer me up. I do not know why more of you haven't subscribed yet. ;)
-
boggletheowl_feed: Boggle is an owl! And worried about you. And has very sensible and loving things to say about whatsoever it is that ails you, especially if it relates to mental health.
-
captainawkward_feed: Captain Awkward is an advice column I keep going on about, because it's fab: one of the things that's helping me, at the moment, is having a steady trickle of "here's how to boundaries" and "here's a suggested script for dealing with this particular interaction" and "you're not awful" on my reading page.
-
dicebox_feed is Dicebox, piped through for your reading convenience. You know, that awesome comic I keep going on about? ;)
-
exceptindreams_feed is an approximately-daily-updating journal of poetry over on LJ, and varies between "meh" to "sobbing" for me. Care is taken with content notes/trigger warnings, though I'm not yet sure how those translate into the feed.
-
queer_ya_feed provides outlines and covers of, well, queer young adult fiction.
-
wtf_evolution_feed is a charming collection of images of Weird Shit Evolution Has Perpetrated, along with charming little snippets of conversation about it.
- Let's have a collection of big-name blogs [to me, probably not more widely ;)] it probably won't hurt to remind people of the existence of:
angry_asian_man_feed;
genderfork_feed;
languagelog_feed;
maedchenmannschaft_feed (German-language);
scalziwhatever_feed;
tanehisicoates_feed;
wheresthebenefit_feed.

Date: 2013-04-16 06:45 pm (UTC)I'm not much using DW for feeds just now, but of the blogs I do read that you might not already know about, I recommend taking a look at Rewriting the rules which is about relationships and sexuality; doesn't update often, but often has good links to stuff that I haven't already seen tweeted and linked half a dozen times from my helpful, informative social circle.
