1. This video of a tortoise going donk. donk. donk.


2. Adam made the internet bring us curry (early enough in the evening that the local curry place had not yet shut for iftar) because I Was Not making pastry.


3. More Adam: after Extensive Research he has concluded that our slug, which is Long and has Orange Bits Down Its Edges and Likes To Go In The Spa... is probably a Large Red Slug. I find this Knowing pleasing.


4. Good dramatic burst of silver-gilded clouds during sunset.


5. The fig is properly unfurling its leaves, and I have finally unwrapped it. I'm looking forward to the fruit.


6. Painkillers. Today hit my threshold for taking them, and they helped; I wasn't much more functional but I was less miserable.


7. Physiotherapy: I spent half an hour on the exercise bike today, having also spent time on it Friday, Saturday & Sunday, and my knee is... fine? My knee seems to be fine. (Exercise bike, I assume for reasons of endorphins, does not exacerbate migraine pain after the first ~5 minutes or so. It also doesn't require me to keep my balance, look where I'm going, leave the house, etc, so I have been using it to Do Cardio Activity. On the basis that spacing it out more would probably be better, I am on day 1 of week 1 of attempting to do bike things M/W/F. I did not achieve this last week, hence the run of days, but it seems to be okay.)


8. I managed to coax myself into getting some bread started this evening. I am looking forward to fresh poppyseed sourdough with apricot jam for breakfast. Handling dough continues soothing.


9. I managed to be patient enough with handwriting today that I am pleased with the result. I also got lucky with glitter distribution (having not really rotated the pen much in advance) and it's making me happy.


10. I get to have a warm shower, and brush my hair, and curl up in a comfortable bed and go to sleep in a pile, and it is going to be good.

7. I'm so glad for you. I'm working on pacing myself while walking: my feet get stiff if I try to walk for 40 minutes at a time, but walking for 20 minutes twice is so much harder to schedule that I frequently do the 40 minute thing anyway.
10. Yesss. Now that it's autumn, my bed is more frequently a cat bed than in summer. Dorian wants to be under the covers whenever he's not eating or elminating, and Ash is happy to be on top of the covers next to the Suspicious Lump.
