I have spent this evening playing Scrabble with A, and watching Venom: Let There Be Carnage, and keeping half an eye on the fireworks out the back window.
Biggest and most obvious this year, of course, is The Thesis.
But I have also played the horn every day this year, and last week I had a singing lesson on the NHS and felt myself settle a little more into my body as a result. I'm stronger -- not just Pilates, not just the ankle physio this time last year having worked, but also I can ride an actual real bike again, so long as I'm careful.
There's the migraines, obviously, but I'm starting to access treatment that might help.
For the second year running, I've posted here every day. It's good for me, and also it's regularly making me anxiously late for bed because of A Sense Of Obligation, so one of the things I need to do this year coming is think about either taking a break or building myself a more robust routine.
Bullet journaling has worked well for me; 2022's notebook is set up for me to start using tomorrow, though some of the longer-term notes still need migrating over. My other, not unrelated, special interest has been fountain pens, but I've also cooked lots of new things and watched lots of new things and spent some very welcome time in the mostly-no-longer-mouldering ancestral pile.
I'm doing okay. <3

Date: 2022-01-01 02:32 am (UTC)It makes me happy to hear so regularly from you here, but please do whatever routine works better for you in terms of what also gets you to sleep in good time. (Something I'm still occasionally working on myself.)
My brother got me my very own fountain pen for Christmas this year, and all of your glorious posts about inks have made me hungry for what color I might bring to its use in the year to come.
Happy new year! <3
