kaberett | snupdate (snail update)

Having spent the past couple of days an immobile lump, apparently digesting furiously, the snail reactivated today and has eaten:

one (1) Entire Leaf
most of a lump of grated carrot about one third its size
a significant chunk of pepper core
... the insides and only the insides of a piece of broccoli stem, leaving the a neatly hollowed-out tube behind it

It has also (1) reiterated, very firmly, its desire to have something to smoosh its head into (if we leave the lid of the box off while we're keeping half an eye on it, it promptly finds its way to the outside of the box and then... Emphatically sticks its head under the lip of same and settles in, like, it leaves its eyestalks extended so it can tell it's smooshed its face into a small enclosed space), and also (2) impressed both of us by climbing up the expensive lump of wood A brought it, rearing up and waving its head around until it managed to actually make contact with the lid with the underside of same, and then stre-e-e-e-e-etched and somehow... actually managed to determinedly transfer itself from The Wood to The Lid, which had a good inch or so of clearance. It was delightful to watch.
