Reading. Three Parts Dead, Max Gladstone, comfort re-read because I was trying to pick up a DIFFERENT glowbox when hideously insomniac the other night, so I went for a comfort re-read and then. Inhaled it. (But did actually continue managing Earlier Bedtimes.) Need to not, much as I want to, just... reread all the rest of them immediately in one great gulp. I am spotting the places he's got better, more, as I reread, now, but oh goodness I still love this so much.

Writing. CHAPTER 4 REVISED AND SENT OFF squeaking in at just over 8.3k words. Editor feedback on That Paper skimmed in advance of my meeting tomorrow, and on the one hand I sigh deeply and on the other it looks Manageable (and anyway my supervisor is intending to Manage it).

Watching. CXG S02E07. This entire thing is so brilliantly put together, and I... am actually going to get around to writing up my flail about this episode in specific in more detail in a standalone post, fine.

Listening. TMA 191. I am torn between "this is Too Many Voices and I cannot in fact distinguish between them all" and "oooh I am looking forward to attempting to reprocess this some more once I have slightly more brain". [quick thought now posted!]

Growing. Do you know what, I've been experimenting with misting the lemon and I honestly think that's making it even more unhappy so I'm going to... stop that again, and just sigh heavily and wait until it's warm enough I can move it outside and see if that does it any better. I think, really, that I need a conservatory, or failing that to be Better at keeping my bin fed (and also more horticultural fleece) so as I can Just keep it in the greenhouse overwinter regardless. :|

Observing. SNOW. There was a dusting when we first woke up this morning, and then it resumed snowing great big fat fluffy flakes, and actually managed to bury the grass, and I drank hot chocolate and ate poppyseed sourdough toast with apricot jam and watched the snow come down and it was lovely and deeply soothing and -- yes. Yesss.

I really need to go back to that Max Gladstone series! I only read the first book, way back when, and then all the others came out, and I didn't get back to it.

Okay, but listen, you have got to ping me when you get to the episode with Rebecca's Reprise in it. You'll know it, she starts off "Well Rebecca, you've done it now" again.

Because I have thoughts that I am sitting on so as simultaneously share with you and also not spoil you. (78.3% of those thoughts are a long rant about how YouTube commenters misunderstand the song and its position in the show entirely.)

Lemon: does it want more light? I think I've just had a jasmine die because SAD light light is the wrong light. You could get it a right light on a timer switch. (Warning: I killed a previous SAD light by giving it the wrong kind of timer switch; mechanical ones are safe if you can bear the ticking.)
