So. (Or, perhaps: hwæt.)

I've been doing this thing of intentionally posting every day for very nearly two years now.

I was inspired by [personal profile] nanila, at a point where I was really struggling with feelings of loneliness and isolation. Dreamwidth comment notifications have made such a difference for me in terms of helping me to feel connected and visible and part-of-community, even (especially) when I'm not actually managing to engage in back-and-forth conversations with you all, and even before This Year, and especially now that I'm immensely behind on my Reading page. (Thank you. <3) I'm finding the record-keeping of the todo/tada immensely useful when I need to reconstruct what I've been up to; I've been enjoying the nudge to actually participate in Talking About Media Consumption that is my vital functions posts.

I am curious: how is it working for you? Are there kinds of posts you particularly enjoy, or would particularly like me to cut and/or tag differently? Would the vital functions posts be more interesting or accessible if I split them up some? (Reading/writing, listening/watching/playing, growing/cooking/eating, exploring/observing?)

I miss you all, and I'm very grateful for your patience with me, and I am very much looking forward to spending more time with you all again. Soon.

I think the way you post is great. I love seeing your updates on the different categories (lemon tree!).

Cheerleading for thesis work!

FWIW, I like reading the things you write, even if I only comment on a few of them.

Yep, your firehose is a lovely, refreshing, challenging, silly, serious mix of Life as it happens. I like it a lot, and your freedom to mix topics helps me feel freer to mix mine.

I enjoy reading your posts, despite not commenting very often. Probably unsurprisingly I find the cooking/eating bits particularly engaging, but I don't think that changing the way you post would make things more or less accessible to me.

excuse me for jumping on this comment, [personal profile] wildeabandon, but I want to second all of this, plus:

similarly to another person, I like the Vital Function posts but if you reorganized how you post that stuff I have confidence I'd still like how you chose to do so.

I hadn't noticed that you post every day which may probably be connected with not having access (and occasionally there are locked food posts linked that I'd quite like to see?) So um, if you might consider this a humble petition on my part to see such things?

I really like seeing the bits and pieces of your life, and love the mix.

(I am from the Internet generation where no one wanted to download a lot of people making small agreement noises, so I tend not to comment unless I've got more than agreeable noises to add, but I look forward to reading your posts and this is me saying so in words.)

I actually really like the vital functions all together, personally, because seeing how those things connect in other people's lives is fascinating to me.

I have one lingering mystery....

I don't comment very often but I like seeing your posts on my reading page. I hadn't noticed that they were daily. I don't always manage to read all of them, but I often do.

I like the vital functions posts. They're short and sweet, and clearly labeled, so I can skip bits I'm less interested in reading.

I don't often comment, but I always enjoy reading your posts. The todo/tada posts (I will confess to almost always skipping "todo"s) are often delightfully surreal.

I like reading your posts. I think I would find the to do/tada easier separated out into different posts for each day rather than the whole week in one: I am interested, but almost never remember to go back and check whether you have updated that week's post. But if having one post that you edit works better for you, then you should stick with it. Vital Functions posts often lovely (especially if I've been behind on stuff), and your use of cut tags seems okay to me, I don't find myself reading more than I want to.

Personally I find your vital functions posts to be so well organized that I would think it only worth bothering with separate entries if you wanted to solicit more feedback on a specific topic. But that's just my opinion!

I really like your vital functions posts and getting to see updates in so many categories and I also love just hearing stories about life and whatever. I also like the current system of which things are under readmores, so I’m all good with that

I'm glad to read you; I'm particularly enjoying seeing you talk about media I've also experienced (such as CXG), about the many ways you work to accommodate yourself physically and mentally, about your academic research and related labor, and about bodily inhabitation, agility, balance, and similar skills. I skim a lot and your headings make it easy to skim the things that I am less engaged with.

I can't think of any way I'd like you to cut or tag things differently! In my experience your cuts and tags are consistent and easy to use.

Best wishes!
