I discovered, earlier this week, that amitriptyline is in fact still helping with my sleep regulation.

Empirical evidence was obtained by dint of going to bed late (i.e. well after A), such that I was unwilling to e.g. turn the bedroom lights on, and then mislaying the meds box that still contained my bedtime dose In The Dark. This would have been on, ooh, Wednesday night? Wednesday night.

It took me until 2.30am (in increasing agitation) to realise that I could... take tomorrow's bedmed dose, and find the box Then. (In theory.) Whereupon I was definitely asleep within another 45 minutes, and possibly as little as 30. Ergo: despite my regular "but maybe none of my meds do anything and I should just. quit them all." flail, the amitriptyline is helping, pretty substantially.

... I finally found the meds box earlier today. It'd managed to fall down the back of the radiator, I think, and then lodge itself neatly tucked away by the wall; I've no idea how it managed this, but that notwithstanding it did. I'd been Taking Tomorrow's Dose since Wednesday; it's nice to be switching back to using a single meds box per day!

So it seems that the answer to "amitryptaline?" is "yes, you are".
