or, alternatively, nope-rioception, for all your "what even are hands and physical embodiment in space and G R A V I T Y" needs.

(unrelated linguistic nonsense of the day: initial-stress-derived nouns are cool and I spent rather longer than perhaps optimal quietly saying all the words on the list to myself but, I asked my local phonologist, following a conversation elsewhere, is it called when it's, like, psychiatry versus psychiatric? probably a suprafix? will report back.)

oh so my whole life

(early this morning I thought I was walking in a straight line and instead clipped the worst part of my left ankle to give a nice hard whack to off the worst part of the ball of my right foot to give a nice hard whack to)

—is that the name for the thing

1) I saw a tweet the other day that was like "the real difference between Arts and Science is how you instinctively pronounce 'secreted'", which is not an initial-stress-derived noun but the dual pronunciations have a similar pattern, heh.

2) I think 'noprioception' is a completely necessary portmanteau and am going to endeavor to find it a way to use it in a conversation this week (did I knock over an entire glass of water onto my work laptop because I once again forgot where my arm was? Maybe)

And then there's the thing about how you instinctively pronounce "unionized"...

Noprioception sounds like a generalized version of what I've called My-eyes-are-me Syndrome, which I've described as "a tendency to forget that I'm wider than my head".

I read this post and admired the awesomeness especially of noperioception which is definitely what I think mine is, then got up to go to the loo and crashed my shoulder into the door frame on the way there, so I think it's definitely a necessary word :) Bodies are a terrible idea!
