I have been curled up on the sofa eating black sesame ice cream. You see, I want to shuffle the ice cream maker out of the freezer in order to free up space for actual food, but that means I want to make more ice cream, and I still have black sesame paste left over from last time because the recipe makes about three times as much as required for a single batch of ice cream proper, but I've got the end of the previous tub still in the freezer so really I need to finish it up. Possibly via some ice cream mochi -- I've been meaning to learn, A had a moment over "you know I can probably make these at home, right?", there's a lot of glutinous rice flour in the cupboard, it's not like I'm going out much.
Soprocrastination food plans for tomorrow are: another batch of ice cream; baking the sourdough I've set resting in the fridge overnight; rhubarb yoghurt loaf cake; a big batch of carrot and roast garlic and fennel seed soup, to do us lunches for the rest of the week. Dinner will probably be fried rice with veg; dinner tonight was steamed rice with broccoli, and we made extra so's there'd be some for frying up.
This afternoon I went out for officially government-sanctioned exercise at the allotment, and did a bunch of infrastructure work: sorting out the guttering a bit more (hopefully), getting the last of the autovents fitted (via actually managing, rather to my own surprise, to find the bolt I'd dropped on the floor of the greenhouse last week), and wrangling the proto-fruit cage some more. I used Papa's wee sledgehammer and Adam's drill bits and several of my own tools.
I've done horn practice and language practice and listened to another episode of TMA. A is brushing my hair. I will shortly curl up in bed; I have a plan of attack for work tomorrow, cookery notwithstanding.
I'm doing pretty well, really.
