Reading. No Future Without Forgiveness, Desmond Tutu. This is consolidating my fondness for the man, mostly; I'm crying some, though not at the bits I'd expected, and I'm learning a lot, and I'm mildly amused that his subsequent book was co-authored with one of his children. I'm going to see about getting my hands on it: I'm very interested in whether it'll read less like a sermon.

Next up: The Gifts of Imperfection, Brené Brown, interleaved (probably) with The Starless Sea, Erin Morgenstern, being two library holds I've had sitting around for actual months so of course they both came up at once.

Listening. A compilation of Untitled Goose Game ringtones, because I'm contemplating which to set as the tone for Messages From A.

Exploring. A's work's Seasonal Celebration took place at Big Top Bloomsbury. The format was "dinner, with entertainment between each course". This consisted of (1) aerial performance (on lyra, straps, and silks) and (2) ... good grief that was Extremely Heterosexuals and intermittent racist tropes. I really rather enjoyed you all having been talking about aerial enough that I could meaningfully appreciate some of what was going on; the ground performances included, um, scantily-clad women dancing ~suggestively~ to Born This Way, explicitly constructed as a reference to them being beautiful, which in the context of a tech bro Christmas party was... a choice.

Creating. Bit more progress on the hibiscus wossname; between Reading Books In A Bit Of A Hurry and sulking about not managing to get the petals looking the way I want, I've been a bit stalled, but I'm gearing up to experiment with mixing greens from yellow & blue pencils rather than using the greens provided as-is, which aren't quite what I want them to be. So, yes, Exploring The Theory Of Colour-Mixing In The Context Of Pencils.

Growing. More time at the plot! During which I mostly dug some holes to get the next segment of raised bed edging more-or-less in place; I've been a bit ashamed about including photographs because of Lack Of Progress, but, well, here we go, actually I am making some.

Goals for the upcoming week: get the rest of this raised bed Sorted Out; pick up a garden fork from the egg humans; actually pot up the holy basil & the string-of-pearls.

I am also Very Likely to indulge myself by buying some more seeds, because (1) I almost certainly want some green manure as ground cover for the beds I'm finally managing to put together, and (2) Real Seeds have released their new season catalogue.

Poking. Ridiculous shiny luck: a Sableye (research task), plus a third Onix and my first Sneasel (wild-caught). I also acquired a (... second) 100% IV purified Zubat, plus a wild-caught 100% IV Shuppet... that's level 1.

And! There's an evolution event on! So I evolved all the new species I'd been saving up for the double XP, and am extremely pleased with all my New Friends.

that's certainly…a choice, yes

of course there's ringtones! (I have not played but I have got enough of the picture from Tumblr fanart to write an apparently-convincing Miraculous Ladybug fusion)

That sounds like an ...interesting choice of a Christmas party thing.

Yay about the garden stuff and Pokémon and reading!
(It does feel like things often happen all at once, doesn’t it)

Uggh, the tech bros are at it again. Utterly unsurprised to hear they have learned nothing. >_>
