I am a little vague on the order of events! some things are probably going to turn out differently on the page than they are doing in my head! but I have all the plot points right here in my handbasket!
surprisingly well! I had an excellent breakfast with my mother and an old family friend and his new partner. and then I drove up to work and talked to my boss about increasing my hours which had the ENTIRELY predictable shitty unhelpful response, but I DID IT and it's also not a thing I'm going to suffer bad consequences for having tried? so.
and I have ALSO had fic thoughts today, and I have even logged some of them!! (vorkosigan AU nonsense, mostly, but frankly I'll take whatever goddamned words will come to me in whatever form they will come to me, at this point.)
oooh SPLENDID re Excellent Breakfast, and well done for DOING THING and TRY THING even though TEDIOUS AND HARD.
fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiic ficficfic. I... still have some angelfaff open in tabs to flail at. (I wish my brain was more reliable about fiction consumption at the moment. Attention spans are Difficult.)
I MADE THE SPREADSHEETS GO and also learned about a feature of LibreOffice (and spreadsheets more generally) that I had not previously been familiar with (specifically, named cells). Praise be to B Cameron Reed.
She's very honest about the frame of mind required to navigate the disabling/disablist world while also highly interdependent. And she's got a helluva story! World traveller! Snarky jokester! I haven't got to the Harvard Law School bits and I'm looking forward to her smacking the disability services offices into shape.
She narrates the audiobook, which is a plus because she speaks so many languages, and for me a minus because she has a very monotonic delivery (because Deaf).

Date: 2019-10-02 11:13 pm (UTC)This morning I started this menstrual period, broke a teapot, fixed a teapot, pet my cat, rearranged my bedroom and my headache started.
Today is getting a definite C+: could be worse, could be a lot better.
