So I did what any good millennial does when we don’t know something and I asked Google. Or more precisely, eBay. And the two things that jumped out at me were the number of greenhouses with plastic (sorry, “polycarbonate”) panels and polytunnels. Both of which would solve the problem of “I don’t want to transport glass”.
There’s probably a good reason why you’re not using a polytunnel. (For starters, I don‘t think they can have roof vents that automatically open, although maybe they don’t need them? I don’t know why the roof vent needs to be open in the first place.) Maybe knowing that would be helpful, idk.
They also look to be on the cheap side compared to new greenhouses. Maybe it’s not suitable for long-term use, but you could get one of those so you can start the early growing this year, and ditch it when you get the proper greenhouse? And/or move it to another spot.
