Acquired surplus-to-requirements from someone who thought I'd have an easier time getting rid of them than she would.
And in fact I've discovered one of them works quite well for me, i.e. is the least irritating overnight splint I've found so far and I'm currently under active medical advice to actively splint overnight because of the now-confirmed-trigger-finger, SO, free to a good home, I'll cover postage (probably internationally, though honestly it would probably be more cost-effective for me to just give you the money to buy some locally), you're gonna hafta wait for me to actually get to a post office:
Both approx a size small (they fit me) but I will happily measure up if you'd like me to give you more details. Actually managing photos will be trickier but if you don't mind giving me a run-up I can manage it.

-
one set of black neoprene wrist splints; metal insert, velcro fastening -
one set of pink-and-black neoprene thumb/wrist wraparound splints, velcro fastening, no metal insert

Date: 2018-08-11 10:20 pm (UTC)The least-irritating splints are actually full wrap-around; the other two sets I've tried have both been sort of... three-quarters, with a gap between one long edge and the other, through which the velcro touches me and it is bad. Full wrap-around means you end up with More Layers Of Neoprene so it's warmer and clumsier, but given that I basically only wear splints to sleep in (they tend to make things actively worse if worn while typing because the ergonomics are nooooooooooooot designed for that, but you can do a lot of damage to your wrists by squishing them into weird positions while you sleep, so splinting overnight is a good option) being clumsier isn't a massive issue.
So. I advocate for considering what sensory input is likely to make you most miserable, and taking it from there. Depending on budget, there are super-lightweight super-not-insulating carbon fibre nonsense, but I have never bothered.
For sleeping I also advocate metal inserts if getting standard fabric splints, which is a grump all of its own, but better with than without for keeping neutral-position wrists.
