Status update!

In new flat.

Minor hand injury is making typing awkward for a few days so I am... going to be even slower than usual at replies, sorry.

I poured scalding water over my hand. It is all very tedious. I have three fingers bandaged and am due to go back for a dressing change on Friday...

Honestly two of the fingers are basically fine and wouldn't really be worth bothering with; it's just the fact that it's three of them and one of them's properly blistering? It already hurts much less than it did even a couple of hours after the incident, so. Improving. I hope.

Bandaging one finger effectively is surprisingly difficult, though: they move around, and then (if the patient is me) the patient tries to use the unbandaged ones and ends up knocking the bandaged one about, and sometimes a flipper is just easier.

I have burn scars that are decades old, I seem to heal differently from them than from other skin injuries.

Ow! And far more of a problem for a chair user. Equivalent to most people pouring it over hand and foot.

Yeah, my index finger and thumb are fine but I'm still not pushing anywhere for a few days :-/ I miiiight be good to go after that, but honestly I'm not gonna push it.

It's going to tug at the skin even where you don't touch, so better to stray on the side of caution (and use gloves!)
