Also, I did some knitting.

The guiltknitting! It's a Firefly-themed scarf, with spanner & strawberry charms at each end; purple on the front, with text in the Firefly font reading Everything's shiny, Captain! (the exclamation mark is a spanner); the reverse (it's double-knit) is striped in orange/pink/white/yellow.

This is from the pattern Life On Sundays on Ravelry; it's a two-colour striped garter-stitch shawl, in dark and bright reds.

That is an adorbs duvet cover. Firefly scarf is cute too. Shawl is...very red. If it were blue I'd be much more into it, I think, but I imagine whoever it's for wants it red.

The person it's for does indeed want it in red! You will probably however like the thing that is currently on the needles (Not Pictured), which is a Moebius cowl in this lovely two-strand teal-and-blue-and-green variegated thing largest smallcousin got me for solstice! I am doing some very simple reversible lace, but basically it's big and snuggly and blues. :-)

:D :D It's a VERY late custom wossname for someone who won it in an auction; I need to make some apologetic charitable donations and arrange to meet up with them to actually hand it over! I am honestly super-pleased with it - it's my own design, and it's the first time I'd ever done anything involving beading or intarsia.

Can't shake the feeling that a Firefly scarf should be kludged together from pieces of 8 different other scarves, none of the same shade or even colour, liberally oil spattered, with a couple of bullet holes and an unidentifiable stain that might be ketchup, or might be blood ;)

But that one will do, too. Congratulations on having guilt-knitted your way to completion!

Awesome bedding and even more awesome knitting. The scarf looks like a lot of fun but am particularly impressed by the shawl! That's simply stunning! And in garter stitch too - which must mean it's manageable! :)
