today is NOT the first of August

and therefore I did NOT have a medical appointment at the hospital a solid 45 minutes away, and! for bonus points! I realised this before I got on the bus!

... but after I had used it to drag myself out of the house to run a couple of other errands on the way ("way") to the bus! which is probably the best of all possible outcomes, to be honest.

(And then I left the house a second time, with A, to go blackberry picking while the sun gradually set, which was its own whole entire other good thing.)
