vital functions

Playing. I got today's Redactle, #291, in one guess. I am Extremely Smug. (I looked at it and my brain just Supplied the whole first sentence.)
Cooking. MANY EXCITING THINGS. Partly because of The Marmalade Situation and partly because my Improved Functioning and Adam's desire to be A Household That Gets Veg Boxes means I find myself trying to come up with ways to use up things I don't normally cook with, e.g. kale.

Making & mending. This week I got my swift out and actually used it, for the first time since acquiring it -- I had some knitted items that needed frogging. Gosh but that made a potentially frustrating and tedious job both easier and faster. I now have a small pile of centre-wound balls and some idea of what I want to do with them, and I am very glad to have decided to give this bit of kit house room!
-- oh! And at A's behest I applied the whetstone to the Utility Scissors, and they are now much more effective, which is very welcome!
Observing. Excellent frost-ferns on the car, and splatter-patterns by puddles where the puddle itself was not quite frozen through but the splashes originating from it did; a very great many spectacular sunsets, that I have very much enjoyed just gawping at.
