Oct. 24th, 2021 10:31 pmWatching. We finished Orphan Black! I had a lot of feelings! I am very glad A also cares about this show!
CXG S03E13. ( Read more... )
Playing. I continue to build dinosaurs for A!
Cooking. Yet another go at the confit tandoori chickpeas; they still weren't right, but I think this time I know what I need to do differently next time...
Eating. All else aside: the raspberry & passion fruit cheesecake I thought I would not ever be able to buy outside central London again, which A picked up for me when I was extremely Migraine Sads, and goodness but I am grateful.
Exploring. ZSL Whipsnade! Excellent date activity; highly recommended.
Growing. I have potted up a squash I am sort of speculatively attempting to overwinter, but have not yet managed to bestir myself to pot up the basil (which was the item actually on my list for today). The saffron I planted at home is coming up! And we are definitely getting on for time to put things to bed.
Observing. ... we didn't really register the extent to which A had been overwhelmed by the snail tank and not quite getting around to it until he went to muck them out today and. and there. there were fifty-plus babies, all of them small enough to escape via the air holes, many of which had promptly done so in their Search for an Up they could climb.
... they have been gently extricated and shepherded outside to fend for themselves underneath the hedge.
