vital functions

Writing. As I write this I am babysitting the printer while it DISGORGES the DRAFT of my THESIS for PROOF-READING. I have been making lots of little fiddly edits, but nothing especially substantial -- but oh my goodness am I having feelings about it being a physical thing in the world.
Creating. I have been messing around with watercolour pencils as I iterate over creating a schematic illustration of a volcano! And enjoying it a lot, and gearing up to perhaps do... More. We will see if I have time to reinvent the other cartoon in this thesis while I'm at it. I am learning a bunch and I'm enjoying it a lot.
Growing. Some of the second round of chillis are hatching, as have three of the aubergine!
Observing. A blue tit! I knew they existed in the vicinity but had never seen one around these parts, but lo, it was considering building a nest under upstairs' balcony balanced on our external power sockets! Alas I think we scared it off, but regardless it seems to have decided that's a Bad Idea and retreated once more to the hedges.
