[poem] The Bite

Dark corsage I can't
unpin, I'm stuck with it,
drawing wry comment
for days, however I hide
this stamp that approves
the boundary, proves that you
stop short of blood, all jokes
aside. But note
how readily my veins
leap up: a little harder and
the whole heart would follow,
I'd turn inside out, bleak pocket
for your rummaging,
magician's hat. And yet
I don't; I let you pass
like this small stormcloud on
my white, impassive throat.

Murbling about GPs

HELLO CAMBRIDGE.

I will be IN YOU on Sunday May 18th. (Also May 17th, but not until evening and then I'm going to be at a concert, but if you want to listen to Prokofiev and Dvorak with me...)

I intend to spend Sunday early afternoonish at An Pub. I hear good things about The Haymakers since I left, and it's relatively convenient for my end of town. I know it'll be busy as anything esp. if the weather continues pleasant, but I intend to get there around 1pm and it would be lovely to see lots of you. <3

(I increment on the 16th, you see, and I haven't seen you all in far too long.)

1. The post brought the Datasaurus shirt I failed to resist along with the two presents for other people I was actually buying; and two books passed on from rmc28. (It did not, alas, bring my griddle pan, for reasons I find slightly disconcerting.)
