My last couple of research efforts have been looking at volatiles (so... anything from carbon dioxide to, like, potassium) and how they interact with magma/lava (in some cases ON THE MOON). Next project is going to be investigating composition of some particular submarine volcanic provinces, and seeing what we can find out about mantle mixing/melting behaviours from that. (Key phrase: non-traditional stable isotope fractionation/geochemistry.)
