... and very little else, and it has been extremely pleasant.

I did not alas get my act together to hunt Moar Puzzle from a charity shop (there's a semi-plausible Botanical Illustration one, but I forgot that I wanted to make A contemplate it when we went out for today's stupid little walk, so... job for tomorrow).

Tell me about your favourite puzzles? I think mine is still the nonsense black-and-white Escher lizards, but alas that's not one I usually have much luck tempting other people into...

My kids love puzzles. They have a lot of nature scene puzzles, a lot of Thomas Kincaide-esque house scenes, a lot of just random complicated scenes with lots of water or sky or same color pieces. I really like one they have with a cat on it who is contemplating book titles that have been morphed to have cat names.

I am fond of Wentworth puzzles, partly because of the variety of shapes and partly because they smell of slightly cooked wood.

Of the ones currently in my house, my favourite is 'The World of Shakespeare, a jigsaw by Adam Simpson'. Many colourful little people in a little London.

My least favourite of the ones in my house is unfortunately 'A Map of Radical Britain', which is a lovely idea but would work better if the very plain pale blue background had a teeny bit of a colour gradient and/or better differentiation between the piece shapes.

My most favourite is at my mum's house, it's a square puzzle with a circular world full of animals and landscapes on it. It is NOT a world map, but it has penguins at the bottom, polar bears at the top, and other stuff in a vaguely appropriate order in between.

I do really love those Escher lizards. It was a childhood favourite which I completed many times. At the moment my favourite are these reproductions of the Ultimate Alphabet illustrations. I love the book anyway, and the plates are particularly well suited to jigsaws, because you have a crowded picture with lots of identifiable spots, and no big areas of boring background. When you stare at each piece trying to work out where it fits, you notice even more of the objects with the appropriate initial!

Eeboo is my favorite brand - bright colors, shiny pieces. I am such a primate.

Generally, I really like Pomegranate puzzles for the quality of their pieces--they hold up really well to being re-worked. Similar to Ravensburger. And the art they pick is really lovely (tho sometimes much more difficult than I anticipate).

Oh, favorites are hard. Housemate and I have been working our way through a bunch of mostly White Mountain puzzles, mostly on the theme of “pretty room with books and comfy seating and a couple of pets”; the current one in progress is a (very much fantasy version of a) Rare Book Store. The ceiling in it is particularly lovely: https://www.reddit.com/r/Jigsawpuzzles/comments/1bd5z6t/rare_book_store_white_mountain_1000_artwork_by/
