today I have been mostly doing puzzles
... and very little else, and it has been extremely pleasant.
I did not alas get my act together to hunt Moar Puzzle from a charity shop (there's a semi-plausible Botanical Illustration one, but I forgot that I wanted to make A contemplate it when we went out for today's stupid little walk, so... job for tomorrow).
Tell me about your favourite puzzles? I think mine is still the nonsense black-and-white Escher lizards, but alas that's not one I usually have much luck tempting other people into...

I am fond of Wentworth puzzles, partly because of the variety of shapes and partly because they smell of slightly cooked wood.

Oh lovely -- that looks like my idea of a splendid time! But alas is probably not to A's taste...

My least favourite of the ones in my house is unfortunately 'A Map of Radical Britain', which is a lovely idea but would work better if the very plain pale blue background had a teeny bit of a colour gradient and/or better differentiation between the piece shapes.
My most favourite is at my mum's house, it's a square puzzle with a circular world full of animals and landscapes on it. It is NOT a world map, but it has penguins at the bottom, polar bears at the top, and other stuff in a vaguely appropriate order in between.
