Date: 2024-11-02 02:51 pm (UTC)When I saw my father a fortnight ago, he was wearing A's striped jumper, the one he asked my father to take to the op shop to donate when he went into the nursing home. My father stole it and concealed this from A for the rest of his life, because A would not have been willing to give the jumper to his brother instead of the op shop. It's his favourite jumper now.

Date: 2024-11-02 03:58 pm (UTC)My grandmother, Heather, died many years ago. She was proud and glamorous, she loved fast cars, she had a Cavalier King Charles spaniel, she outlived three husbands, and I only knew her towards the end of her life when her dementia was affecting her a lot.
