[stationery] today's delight

... is Midori Chiratto Index Clips (Japanese site, because they are bafflingly not listed on the English page).
Unlike the penguins, which Cult Pens unhelpfully listed (at the time I bought them) as 0.15mm thick (they aren't; I suspect the dimensions were copied over from a listing for these things) they actually are thin in enough to slip in without distorting the paper! And unlike the book darts, the tiny sticking-out tab is in fact exactly what I want for the various notebook pages I want to flip back to frequently.
Which are, because I am currently very much on a HI EVERYBODY TELL ME ABOUT YOUR NOTEBOOKS kick: migraine log; Pilates log; pending list (i.e. things where I'm waiting for a reply or a parcel or similar); Admin:the LRP packing list, and (tentatively) a list of Object Categories And Locations I would like to Declutter (progress on that front today! notwithstanding the new stationery and 150l of compost).

Date: 2024-07-06 11:06 pm (UTC)I have tried paper tabs (various) and don't like how scrappy they get (or how quickly); I'm still using my now Somewhat More Ridiculous washi tape collection to put month markers down the edges of pages, but those I want to be permanent whereas e.g. I go through Quite A Lot of Pilates pages but don't set them up til I need them, so making it easy to flip to the current one (and can then find previous ones via threading if I want to Observe Changes Over Time).

like a rabbit under your amygdala
I did NOT know the story about the cake decorator.
BADGES INDEED. (Did I mention any time you might notice that I've titled my A4 page of diagnoses/prescriptions/Important Details "Patient Information Leaflet"? Because I have and it still makes me giggle.)
Yes, Of Course, to all of the Questions And Answers bits of the notebooks.
OH are you also on the prochlorperazine?
Re medication side effects: do you lot have an equivalent to the yellow card system?
Dosecast is my least hated meds reminder app (hassle me if you want me to provide more detail on that).
MediMemo is my least hated dosette box situation, which has movable dividers that you can also shuffle between boxes, so for a while there I had five compartments (immediately on waking, ideally at least half an hour before food; with breakfast; with lunch; with dinner; at bedtime).
In the context of migraine I have relatively recently learned that (part of) the cause of nausea is Digestive System Shuts Down And Stops Progressing. In case that is of interest re Feeling Of Heaviness as symptom. Which is the other reason that swallowed meds don't work well once etc.
(I am so so sorry about the hair.)

Date: 2024-07-07 10:15 am (UTC)I have so many notebooks:
Purse notebook for random jottings
Bedside notebook for things I think of in the middle of the night
Journal 1
Journal 2 with black paper
Notebook for taking reading notes in
Notebook for list of things to buy
And then all the notebooks at work for taking meeting and reading notes.
I love notebooks so much.

Date: 2024-07-09 08:16 pm (UTC)Notebooks!!! I keep contemplating Small Notebook To Live In Pocketses but have not quiiite managed to convince myself I'd use one yet, even though I definitely do not use my phone and my Big Folio (even though it's only A5) is indeed. quite Big. so. dithering.
The Thing About The Bullet Journal Method for me is that I now gleefully put LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE in ONE NOTEBOOK and it's GREAT.
... I am slightly nervous about the bit where I am maybe a bit buying a ten-year supply of my current (Almost) Perfect Notebook -- because I don't trust it to keep getting made (the paper has been discontinued, and the paper is the thing I care about least but I don't know that anyone else is likely to - etc etc etc), but that does come with a side of "... but what if my tastes change and I have ALL THESE NOTEBOOKS"...

Date: 2024-07-10 10:56 am (UTC)I hear you on the notebook stash. I could probably go another decade without ever acquiring a new notebook, maybe longer but I do write a lot for work. And still I wants more!

Date: 2024-07-09 08:18 pm (UTC)HUZZAH. <3 And also that is Definitely Cunning Reinforcement that I totally failed to think of.
(Also thank you for sharing Book -- as you are doubtless aware I have been Extremely Distracted for the last ... several ... years, and therefore obviously Missed A Lot, and did not want to go OH NO I HAVE FEELINGS LET ME DEMAND INFORMATION FROM YOU SO I CAN HAVE MORE FEELINGS or whatever but I definitely definitely appreciate the More Info and I care about you a lot even while I am A Bit Of A Disaster At Comms. <333)

Date: 2024-07-10 01:22 pm (UTC)Alas!
(I am perpetually mildly grumpy that I didn't know about The Bullet Journal Method TM until I was done with lab books...)
