Jun. 26th, 2024 10:31 pmThis pronoun badge came to me via my object-wrangling, because it had lost its pin. I added it to the stash of Projects and then completely forgot about it. It reappeared while I was tidying my desk earlier today; I think I am giving up on dithering over whether there's any sensible way to sew it onto my cap and am Just going to order a replacement pin and make use of Adam's glue gun.
I'm decidedly entertained by how well a photo taken in low light (because we had all the windows and doors open because it's been Quite Warm today) on the nearest available non-sofa surface came out. Certainly it has done nothing to persuade me that this isn't exactly My Style.

Date: 2024-06-26 09:35 pm (UTC)(Petty amusement: only one person so far has come up to me at the lost property desk and said "I've been e-mailing with a guy named Alex?" but several of them were clearly just as surprised when I said "hi!" with a big smile and waited for the penny to drop. To the credit of the one who explicitly assumed "guy", they did follow up with "... I suppose I should have said a person named Alex", and on we carried. I get a lot more "Lost Property Lady", which I find much less amusing; taken altogether this is a good reason to flag Much More Prominently than I have been, I think.)
